Admissions
The arrangements for the admission of children to this school at age 4+ are made by Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC). A detailed description of the arrangements is contained on the BHCC website: http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/content/children-and-education/school-admissions
Information can also be obtained from the School Admissions Team, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ (tel: 01273 293653) or via email on Schooladmissions@brighton-hove.gov.uk. Information is also available at the school.
However, parents/carers may find it helpful to know that, if there are insufficient places available to meet demand, BHCC will allocate places in accordance with the following list of priorities:
1. Children in the care of a local authority (looked after children) and previously looked after children
2. Compelling medical or other exceptional reasons to attend the school
3. Sibling link
4. Children transferring between a linked Infant and Junior school
5. Other children
Once all the children in priorities 1, 2, 3 and 4 have been offered places at a school, the remaining places (up to the published admission number) will be offered to other children. If it should be necessary to decide between children within any of these priority groups, this will be done by giving the places to those children who live closest to the school.
The published admission number for 2025/26 is 30 pupils.
The number of students on roll as of September 2024 was 225.
Our preferences for 2024/25 were 35 x 1st choice with 30 children being allocated to the school.

ASC Unit Admissions
Admissions to the ASC Unit are dealt with differently to the normal application process. Children can only be admitted to the unit when a diagnosis of ASC is included in their Education & Health Care Plan.
A request for a place is made through the annual review process, via the child’s SEN casework manager and a decision is made by the SEN review panel, based on the child’s needs.
Visits for prospective parents and carers take place on specific dates once a term and only by prior arrangement, after the completion of a visit form, which can be obtained from the school office.
