Safeguarding
At West Blatchington Primary & Nursery School we pride ourselves on ensuring that the whole school community take a collective responsibility in making sure our pupils are appropriately safeguarded when at school.
All adults who are working or volunteering in our school will have received a clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) before they can start at the school.
All staff, volunteers and governors receive induction training and annual refresher training which is led by our family liaison worker who is a qualified social worker. Information sessions are also provided to school staff throughout the year around current issues which may impact on our school community.
